Also, I'm pretty sure you're not familiar with the internet. Using 'Josh' is the same as using 'Anonymous'. Just one is more consistent.

Not being "of color" doesn't make you a racist. Assuming someone is racist based on their race is racist. Gentrification is not a racist act. You do not have to be "of color" to be negatively or positively affected by gentrification. Making aggressive assumptions about people simply because they've moved to your neighborhood and don't look like you is an act of hate. Do you hate people that aren't 'of color' or do you just want them to leave your neighborhood?
ReplyDeleteHahaha. This blog is entertaining. Not that I will return to it. We lived in Ditmas Park for 3 years, couldn't wait to get the heck outta there. Nothing but grown men smoking pot on the sidewalk night and day, with little kids around. Loud music every night in the summer would not let us sleep. We had babies, and jobs that required us to be functional the next morning. Apparently not so the rest of the block? Such a fun place. When we moved out, our landlord offered to lower the rent if we would stay. Never.
