Would it kill DitmasParkBlog to use a minority photogapher for their "photo of the day?" There are after all several black freelance photographers who are not doing it for a hobby like rich guy Nelson.

Would it kill some of the “black freelance photographers who are not doing it for a hobby” to submit some great images to DPB?
The assumption that photos contributed to DPB are by rich WHITE guys is …. Specious.
When will “Eloise” realize that W-H-I-T-E does not spell; R-I-C-H !!
And... Quite sadly when will "Eloise" realize that B-L-A-C-K does not mean P-O-O-R !!
How do you know that Nelson doesn't have minority status? Have you seen him taking pictures or have you met him at the Farmer's Market? Have you had him over for dinner and taken the opportunity to fully understand the width and breadth of his background? Even if you've seen him and met him and eaten with him, do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's not gay or disabled or Buddhist or black or hispanic or any of the other labels that are apt in this situation?

Ditmas Park Blog uses a Flickr photo pool (group) to solicit photo contributions. They don't compensate for photos.
