No! Not if they keep on running their hateful blog. They are the reason why this neighborhood is becoming less and less diverse. DPB like many white people like the idea of diversity but do not actually like minorities. They like to see minorities not actually interact with them.
Go away DPB you are why the neighborhood is becoming less and less diverse. Just go away!

I think I'll do us all a favor and ask a question that should've been psoed a long time ago:
ReplyDeleteEloise, what do you define as a diverse community?
It's so easy to have an argument with you Eloise, you only provide one argument, never back it up and never respond to further questioning. So I will continue on. Why? I don't know.
ReplyDeleteDefine diverse.
For you it seems diversity is strictly about race, correct? You measure a diverse ocmmunity by simply counting heads and plugging them into percentages. Would a community of 100 people with 20% white, 20% black, 20% hispanic, 20% native american and 20% asian be perfectly diverse for you?
What about income, sexual orientation, household relationships? These are factors that influence diversity as well you know.
What is diverse?!?!?
Josh,
ReplyDeleteRacial diversity. Within those ethnic backgrounds there will be a diversity among income. If you look back five decades, black professionals lived with working class blacks in segregated neighborhoods. It worked well.
White people living with other white people is NOT diversity. Why? Because of white privilege. There is no white privilege in ethnically diverse areas.
I always get annoyed when people start talking about the gays. White gays can hide their sexual orientation and still reap the benefits of white privilege. Blacks and browns cannot.
I will respond to your future questions as I think it is important to realize that white people cannot create diversity!
So blacks living with blacks = diversity.
ReplyDeletewhites living with whites (I can't do the equal sign with a line through it) does not equal diversity.
Can you please explain that?
Again, I feel it's important to mention, even though it's almost embarrassing that I have to do this, that I am in no way condoning nor condemning single-culture communities. Just asking for clarification's sake.
Eloise,
ReplyDeleteYou turn stupid into an art form.
Let's see. As Josh noted, blacks living among blacks is evidence of diversity. But whites living among whites is not.
I see. Of course this bizarre interpretation exists only in your mind.
Then to raise the dopiness factor a few notches you say white gays can hide their gayness and enjoy a fair share of the mythical white privilege.
Hmmm. So two white men who live together in a pretty home are never viewed as gay. Yeah. That's how it is.
As far as I can tell, the only people who actively show their disapproval -- hate -- for gays, are black and hispanic thugs. As always, the problems are within your people.
"As far as I can tell, the only people who actively show their disapproval -- hate -- for gays, are black and hispanic thugs. As always, the problems are within your people."
ReplyDeleteyeah. . . that's not exactly true, or close to true, or in the same room as true, or city/state/country/hemisphere. In fact I'd say that statement is the opposite of true, otherwise known as false.
