Just a few quick ones folks.
DitmasParkBlog can take the time to announce Purim but not Kwanzaa? Hmmf.
You know you are a gentrification troll when you demand that the owner of Connie's Cafe changes their name to Connie's Diner. Why? Will it make the food taste different? Of course not, gentrification trolls never engage in logcial reasoning.

Ron Karenga created Kwanzaa in 1966 as the first specifically African American holiday.
ReplyDeleteKarenga said his goal was to "give Blacks an alternative to the existing holiday and give Blacks an opportunity to celebrate themselves and history, rather than simply imitate the practice of the dominant society.
The African Americans on our Coop Board refused to allow coop funds for Kwanzaa decor in the lobby with the Xmas and Hanukah candles.
As Christians they find Kwanzaa offensive and don’t feel they are, simply imitating the practice of the dominant society.
They believe in Christ Our Lord.
Kwanzaa is Festivus. Kwanzaa has all the meaning and symbolism of Groundhog Day.
ReplyDeleteLet this be a lesson to all potential bloggers that are trumpeting their desire to save Ditmas Park. Instead of writing blog posts that are informative, randomly complain about blogposts like this:
ReplyDelete"I think that Connie’s Cafe over in Kensington (Church &E5th) is my favorite local diner right now. It really should just be called Connie’s Diner – good food, great service, friendly space – what more does one need?"
Eloize, you really are a conundrum. If your spume wasn't so hateful, I'd be laughing at you behind your back.
Hm. Are you referring to the Smarts regarding Kwanzaa? If so, do they speak for the whole black community? I do not think so. Also, you obviously do not know many blacks as you had to go to them for your answer on whether or not Kwanzaa is an appropriate holiday to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteYou ain't nothin' but a racist.
Besides the fact that you are a paranoid, reckless, and powerless woman, this is the most factual and useful blog ever.
ReplyDelete"referring to the Smarts regarding Kwanzaa? If so, do they speak for the whole black community?"
ReplyDelete"Eloise" is not just a liar but is showing that he/she is dangerous attacking the Olympic medal winners who honor our neighborhood.
It is very telling that "Eloise" singles out African American Olympic winners when no one else mentioned them.
Dangerous and sinister.

ReplyDeleteI wasn't attacking anyone "John Brown." You stated that there were African-American co-op members and I just threw out a name. You keep this up and you will be banned from my website.
